FAQ

What is LiveEvent?

LiveEvent is an online video platform that allows you to broadcast and view video through the Internet in real time or on demand. It does not require purchasing expensive equipment or bandwidth.

How does it work?

It’s actually quite simple. All you need to do is create the event. We do the rest. We provide the technology and hosting. Using our handheld uplink device, you broadcast your video on the Internet via our website or yours. You can choose to stream live or archive the content for on-demand viewing. You can also customize the viewership, either allowing anyone or only your members to view your content. (For more information on technological specifications, see here.)

Who uses online video?

Live, online video is a rapid, cost effective, and powerful integrated marketing communications tool being used by all sectors and industries – corporations, non-profits, and government. It connects members of organizations to each other, no matter the geographic distance or time difference.

How can LiveEvent help grow my business?

Corporations and small business are using online virtual events to broaden their customer base and improve their marketability and reach. Online video gives corporations the ability to personally communicate with their customers, employees, stakeholders and press in innovative and engaging new ways. Using rich media, including video, audio, and 3D animation, LiveEvent replicates the experience of being there in person. Highly customizable graphics and video players easily embed in your site so that your viewers are fully immersed in your brand.

Can this platform work for the non-profit sector?

Yes! Non-profits are realizing the power that online broadcasts can deliver for pushing out important news, mobilizing members, fundraising, and advocacy campaigns.

How can government agencies and educational institutes use LiveEvent?

Government agencies use online broadcasts to inform constituents about new policies and public safety, and to open up town hall meetings, public forums, and community events to wider audiences. Internally, they use online video for training and meetings.

Educational institutions are beginning to embrace new media as well, harnessing the power of broadcast video internally to facilitate better communication with staff and students and as a medium for educational programs in journalism, marketing, film, media, and more.

How much does it cost?

Pricing varies depending on length of time and number of viewers. Our packages are fully customizable, and we will work with you to find the appropriate solution for your organization’s needs and resources.
